Welcome to The Urban Xenophile, an ongoing conversation about all that is cultural through the eyes of a globetrotting, book-loving, fashion-adoring, food-worshiping, four-legged loving, anthropology-studying, life enthusiast! My name is Jordana and I am a xenophile. Not only do I have an adoration for everything that is foreign, I have decided to make it my life’s work to explore, analyze and absorb all that I can from as many different cultures as I can! My journey started when I tried to create a working definition of my own culture (still working on it!). At the end of the day, my greatest goal is to become a better human. The Urban Xenophile is a culmination of everything that I am and what influences me. It’s a peek at the world through my lens and my ongoing quest to find the answers to the onslaught of questions that rattle around in my brain on a daily basis. Travel, food, fashion, city life, social issues, you name it, it’s all up for discussion. I want to explore the depths of culture, how we create it, participate in it, how it impacts the decisions we make, and ultimately, how we can learn that the bar is never set high enough when it comes to learning and understanding one another.
